Conference Alert: IRPC to tackle the downstream industry’s toughest challenges with dual 2019 locations

Thanks to an email alert, I learned of the following IRPC conference. While not stated in the description of the event, I suspect one reason for the dual locations is a workaround for the irksome travel restrictions we have imposed in the US. In any case, the conference is worth your consideration.

IRPC to tackle the downstream industry’s toughest challenges with dual 2019 locations
IRPC Europe Rebranded as IRPC EurAsia
The International Refining and Petrochemical Conference (IRPC) will address the challenges facing the global hydrocarbon processing industry at two strategically situated conferences in 2019.
With conference locations—Helsinki, Finland, and Houston, Texas—chosen to meet the needs of professionals in Eurasia and the Americas, IRPC will provide a high-level technical forum in which key players in the petrochemical and refinery sector will meet to share knowledge and learn about best practices and the latest industry advancements.
IRPC EurAsia—formerly IRPC Europe—will be held in Helsinki, Finland. The rebrand better reflects the international scope of the conference’s content while the underlying technical presentations will continue to be of the highest quality, backed by Hydrocarbon Processing, the HPI’s leading publication. Read the full press release here.
Call for Abstracts
The Call for Abstracts for IRPC EurAsia, to be held June 5-7, will remain open until Jan. 8, 2019. The conference will cover important topics and trends, such as the impact of IMO 2020; clean fuels/biofuels/alternative fuels; refinery/petrochemical integration; digitalization; energy efficiency; and more.
Do not miss this opportunity to be involved in IRPC EurAsia as we look at the challenges affecting the industry, as well as opportunities that are emerging. We will discuss the industry’s latest technologies and best practices, from regional and global perspectives, with conference attendees from leading operators, refineries and petrochemical plants, engineering and construction companies and licensors, looking to maximize margins and ensure operational availability while complying with industry regulation targets.
We're looking for submissions on the following topics:
•Biofuels/alternative fuels
•Digital transformation
•Clean fuels/Fuels of the future
•New transportation technologies
•IMO regulations
•Emerging technologies in the refining and petrochemical sectors
•Carbon capture/CO2 emissions mitigation
•Heavy oil/bottom-of-the-barrel
•Catalysts
•Feedstocks
•Refinery-petrochemical integration
•Policy and regulations
•Process controls, instrumentation and automation
•Economics/financing
•Maintenance/reliability (equipment lifecycle, new materials revolution, corrosion, benchmarking/analytics/metrics, troubleshooting, etc.
