Conference Alert: IHS Energy CERA Week

Economics is the de facto religion of the modern era.  Blame Adam Smith for that.  And economists are the high priests of this religion.  And why not?  Like it or not, we all have to make a living.  Which is to say, we all have to do something useful. 

Accordingly, hearing what the high priests have to say about what is happening and likely to happen in the global economy can be helpful.  Even if your passion is scientific research (or, maybe, especially if your passion is scientific research), what they have to say can be quite useful to you.

Which brings us to this week’s post.  We focus on an upcoming conference, IHS Energy CERA Week, which features a raft of high level speakers focusing on the economics of energy.  They focus on the broad array of energy sources, from conventional hydrocarbons to wind and solar and nuclear.  What they say may guide you in the direction your research will take.
