Getting More Out of PTQ Catalysis 2013

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.” -- Albert Einstein (German born American Physicist, 1879-1955)

PTQ – Petroleum Technology Quarterly – has produced its annual special issue on Catalysis.  As always, it is worth reading.  You can find a PDF of the issue at www.eptq.com.

The content of the articles is great.  But don’t stop there.  Dig deeper by searching Google® Scholar for other articles by the authors of the PTQ articles.

TIP: Search Google® Scholar using the author’s name AND a keyword like catalysis.  You won’t get everything by that author, but by the same token, you will not be inundated by pages and pages of irrelevant hits.

For example, here are selected results from searches for three of the authors of the first article (“Advances in FCC pretreatment catalysis”), using the following three search strings …

Zeolite-included phthalocyanines: synthesis, characterization and catalysis in ox-red reactions
BV Romanovsky, AG Gabrielov - Journal of molecular catalysis, 1992 - Elsevier
Abstract Thein situ synthesis of transition-metal (Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Ru and Os) phthalocyanines
entrapped within the Y-type zeolite cavities is described. The zeolite-included
phthalocyanines were identified and studied using XPS and FT-IR techniques. The ...
