In Control: A Simple Time Saver Trick

“Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.” --Dorothy, in L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz"

Every once in a while you find a Web page that has multiple hyperlinks.  You want to explore all of them.  Many of these pages have their own hyperlinks. You will want to explore some of them.

But you want to return to the original page … the one that inspired you to explore.

You can just hit your browser’s “back” button.  But when you have jumped to ten pages, it takes some effort to get back to your starting point.

Here’s a simple trick, which you probably already know but may have forgotten …

CTRL-[Link]

In other words, before you jump into hyperlink, hold down the CTRL key.  That will open up a new browser tab.  Your starting point remains intact, as a tab in your browser.  No matter where your journey takes you, all you have to do to get back to Kansas is to click that tab.

Follow the Desulfurization Blog (www.desulf.blogspot.com) to remain in control of your browsing experience.
